Prenatal screening

What is prenatal screening?
The purpose of prenatal screening is, if you wish, to inform you about the possible presence of one or more disorders, so that you can make an informed choice from various screening options.
You can opt for two different forms of prenatal screening:
1. The NIPT (non-invasive prenatal test) is a bloodscreening for chromosome problems in the unborn child.
2. A structural ultrasound examination (SEO) at both 13 and/or 20 weeks, which gives you information about whether there are indications of physical structural abnormalities in the unborn child.
We would like to inform you about all the options for prenatal screening during your pregnancy, this information will be discussed during the intake interview.
